WELCOME
Hey there! Thank you for stopping by our website. We know that meeting someone for the first time can be a little intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. So we want to help make your experience at Melbourne Heights a great one.
And don't forget to hit the red "Plan Your Visit" button to let us know you're going. We can't wait to meet you!
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO VISIT
STEP 1
ARRIVE
The first part of your visit to Melbourne Heights is arriving at our church. We're located at 11003 Bluegrass Parkway in Suite 500.
Once you pull into our parking lot, you'll probably wonder where you should park. Well, there aren't any assigned parking spaces at Melbourne Heights. So we encourage you to look for our Melbourne Heights flags and parks as close to them as you'd like.
Step 2
COME ON IN
Once you've parked, come on in! We'll have someone waiting to greet you at the door who will show you to our Welcome Center.
At the Welcome Center, we'll be able to answer any questions you may have, check your kids in to our Kid's Ministry, and we'll even have a gift waiting just for you.
And while you're in our lobby, make sure to grab a donut and a cup of coffee (or hot chocolate, if that's more your thing).
STEP 3
Take a Tour
One of the scariest things about visiting a new place is not knowing your way around. So we want to make sure you know where everything is at Melbourne Heights from the sanctuary, to the kid's area, to the restrooms.
So, once you've stopped by our Welcome Center, one of our volunteers will give you a quick tour so you can find your way around.
STEP 4
COME & WORSHIP
After you've learned your way around, it's time to come to the sanctuary for worship. During worship we'll sing a mixture of classic hymns and newer songs together. While we sing, feel free to participate however you’d like. If you want to sit and listen, feel free to do so. If you want to stand or raise your hands to sing, you can do that too.
You can also expect to hear a word from God while you're here each week. This message may be inspiring or challenging, but every message is meant to help you grow closer to Jesus.
HOW ABOUT KIDS?
Have kids? No worries, we've got you covered. We provide childcare from newborn to 12 years old for all of our services. To read more about our awesome children's ministry, click the button below!
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We worship together on Sundays at 11003 Bluegrass Parkway in Suite #500. You can take Bluegrass Parkway from Hursthourne Parkway or Blankenbaker Parkway, we're on the corner of Bluegrass Parkway and Waterson Trail.
OTHER FAQs
Have questions? We have the answers!
When you turn off Bluegrass Parkway, our church is located to the right...don't worry, we'll have plenty of signs out to help you find your way. Once you spot us, park as close as you'd like and come on inside.
You can expect a typical service to last between 45 minutes and an hour.
You can wear a suit and tie, you can wear jeans and flip-flops, or you can wear anything in between. We just want you to be comfortable so that your focus in on worshiping God.
When we gather for worship, we love for all ages to come together. So, we do try to find ways to include elements in our services that will appeal to even the youngest children in attendance.
But we also know that there are times when your kids need to learn on their own level. So every Sunday we have a nursery for children under 3 during our entire service. And we a Kids Bible Study for our older children (from ages 3 through 5th grade) during the second half of our worship service most weeks.
Every Sunday is a little different, but there are a few things you can expect. First, we will sing a mixture of classic hymns and newer songs together. During the service, feel free to participate however you’d like. If you want to sit and listen, feel free to do so. If you want to stand or raise your hands to sing, you can do that too.
Second, you can expect to hear a word from God while you're here each week. This message may be inspiring or challenging, but every message is meant to help you grow closer to Jesus. If you'd like to hear some of our recent sermons for yourself, you can check out our sermon archives by clicking here.
No. But as part of our worship service, we do collect an offering. But at Melbourne Heights, we want to live generous lives, and invite people who support our mission to give as they feel led. We have no expectation for guests to give.
At Melbourne Heights, we believe that everyone has a next step to take in their relationship with God. You can learn more about how to get baptized, join a Small Group, serve in our church, and more on our Next Steps page.
