Christmas Isn't Canceled

As 2020 begins to wind down, we were all hoping to celebrate a normal Christmas this year. But, as COVID-19 continues to spread exponentially, it's becoming clear that this Christmas will be anything but normal.

So can we actually celebrate Christmas during a pandemic? Well, we'll see throughout this sermon series that Christmas isn't cancelled.

The Scandal of Christmas

Christmas Eve is a time each year where we can slow down and reflect on what the birth of Jesus means before the busyness of Christmas Day begins.

But in a year when our Christmas celebrations will be different, it may be more important than ever to be reminded of the good news that Christ has come.

Thank Full

It's hard to feel thankful for your health when over 55 million people have been infected by COVID-19 this year. It's hard to feel thankful for your job when millions of people remain unemployed. It's hard to feel thankful for your family when you won't be celebrating Thanksgiving with them this year.

But even during a year where we don't feel like being thankful, God is still with us caring for us and providing for us.

Giving Sunday

Most of us look forward to Christmas morning every year...but how would you feel if you knew there wouldn't be any presents under your tree this year?

It may be harder to imagine, but this is a reality for over 9,000 children in our community alone. And Giving Sunday is our chance to do something to help make some of these kids' Christmas dreams come true.

The Red & The Blue

With Election Day upon us, pretty much everyone is tired of talking about politics. We are all worn out by the partisan divide and the plain-old nastiness of it all.

But as Christians, we are called to follow God every day. And that includes Election Day. In this series, we'll be talking about how we can do that.

Confessions of a Pastor
