What Will You Do?
May 19, 2024
We've all heard the story of Job...but just because we've heard a story that doesn't mean we fully understand it. So, unfortunately, when we read Job's story we think we know what it's all about. But what if there is more to this story?
In this sermon, we'll take a closer look at the book of Job and see what Job's story can teach us about following God even when bad things happen.
Sermon 2
Nowhere to Be Found
May 26, 2024
After everything he's been through, in Job 23, Job admits that he feels like no matter where he looks he can't find God. When bad things happen to us or the people we love, we can feel the exact same way...we can feel like God has abandoned us.
But even though Job says he feels like he can't find God, Job continues to confess that he knows God is with him. And God is with you no matter what.
Sermon 3
Hold On To Hope
June 2, 2024
When bad things happen, it's easy to lose hope because it feels like there is nothing we can do to fix everything that is wrong with the world. But at the end of the book of Job, God reminds us why we should never lose hope.
You see, even if we aren't big enough to solve the problem of pain and suffering, the God who created the heavens and the earth is...and God's working on it now.
Sermon 4
Never Give Up
June 9, 2024
We've all heard the expression, "It's always darkest before the dawn." But sometimes it seems like the darkness will never end. So what do we do when it feels like dawn will never come?
In the book of Job, Job ultimately decides that in spite of all the darkness he faces he will not give up on God and he will continue to follow God even if he never sees the dawn.
